Addiction is a huge problem for society; in 2000 alone the economic cost to the United States in lost productivity was over $275 billion and has been rising ever since. In Los Angeles County there are over 4000 “12 Step” meetings weekly and
over 500,000 recovering individuals. We have 1000 sober living homes and 50 large treatment centers, yet we are losing the battle against addiction.
Being clean and sober is not enough; recovering addicts and alcoholics need to become economically productive members of society.
The 12 Angels Evergreen Fund began operations in June of 2005. We received our approval as a 501c3 tax exempt organization in November of 2005. Your donations to the 12 Angels will help fund our projects and build our organization.
Our organization uses 10% of our donations for fund raising purposes; the other 90% of money collected is directed into increasing productivity in the recovery community. If you have any questions please call us at 888-233-1411 or email us at donor@12angels.org.
Virtual Career Counselor and Online Community Resource Board
Los Angeles has many different organizations, which help the recovery
community. Many recovering people do not know where to look for help. Our
community resource board functions as a virtual career counselor. The web site
will assist the recovering community with identifying resources for job training,
resume writing, skill development, financial aid and jobs. With approximately
1000 sober living homes in greater Los Angeles area this site provides a valuable
resource to our community. The donated funds are used for the development
and maintenance of the web site. We are always looking for partners, sponsors
and support. If you would like to help please contact us we look forward to
working with you on this project.
Online Thrift Store Business
The 12 Angels team is volunteering time to help a local treatment center Beit
T’Shuvah in Culver City, CA expand their online thrift store. In the first two months
of our support we grew revenue from $1000 to $9000 and streamlined operations.
The existing team was reorganized. We made the recommendation to Beit
T’Shuvah to hire one new team member on a part-time basis. Our efforts
focused on improving communication and procedures between their brick and
mortar thrift store and their online counterpart.
Our goal with this project is to continue to increase revenue and profitability as a
way to generate funds to the treatment center and create more jobs within the
community. We hope to expand our services to more treatment centers within
Los Angeles.
Your donations make all of this possible.

The first project successfully handled by the 12 Angels was the opening of Wonderland Center in July.
Wonderland Center is a new residential treatment center located in Laurel Canyon. The opening included two parties hosting over 350 people from the sober community.
The center is fully operational, providing residential treatment, out-patient services, sober companions, and sober living accommodations. The Wonderland Treatment team brings together the best of LA's addiction prevention professionals, and nearly all of the 12 beds available were full within the first month.
